Gas INDEX on active explorers and producers of western Canada plus,
as applicable, further information covering Personnel, Structure, Operating
Centres, Predecessors in a tree-view display, Dispositions and Pending
Transactions. In addition, Historical Companies are shown by predecessors and
successors with links to active corporations. The database contains over 25,000
listings of which 4,000 apply to explorers and producers and 21,000 to
suppliers and services.
Subscription
Types
AVS
- "added value service" is exclusive to INDEX Standing Order Customers. The
initial rate is $299.95 per quarter to coincide with the publication which is
reduced after 4 consecutive quarters to $209.85 per quarter or an annual rate
$839.40. The annual combined rate for the INDEX and AVS is $1,119.20. The
pricing includes a listing in the publication worth $199.80 reducing AVS to $919.40.
It is by far the best value.
DIRECT
– There is no precondition such as purchasing a standing order of the INDEX to
subscribe to direct service. The rate is $1,499.95 a year. Direct has a
more convenient log-in than AVS because the INDEX is not part of the procedure.
The rate is higher because it is not subsidized by the INDEX.
Functions
INDEX
ONLINE has several sort and find functions to assist you in learning
about corporate relationships and to assist service companies in
FIND
-
COMPANY – active companies can be found directly or indirectly. The
information on active companies is substantial and covers
Basic Information, Personnel, Structure, Operating Centres,
Associates, Predecessors and / or Successors, (a tree view
to establish a chain of title), Dispositions and Pending Transactions,
with links to emails, web sites and more.
-
PREVIEW
– is a list of new Explorers & Producers (including Pipelines, Refineries
& Plants) since the last quarterly Oil & Gas INDEX was published.
-
PENDING
– is a list of companies subject to ongoing transactions. The selection of a
company from the list will provide details of the transactions as well as other
information about the company.
-
OP. CENTRE - includes area, field and district offices, a complex, gas
and processing plants, refineries, batteries, compressor stations and other
facilities manned by employees as opposed to contract personnel. A centre may
be found by town or name. The system defaults to a town search that lists all
centres located there. A name search finds a particular centre that has a link
to find other centres in the same town. All centres are linked to their parent
companies.
-
PERSON
– a person can be found from key personnel and directors in the database by
entering all or part of the surname. Selecting a person from the search will
link to the company.
SORT
-
OPERATING EXPLORERS and PRODUCERS
– may be sorted by employee count and location.
-
OP. CENTRE TYPE
- as a foreword, each centre oversees/manages a diverse number of
operation types, ranging from airstrips to warehouses. The types are unique; a
"battery" for example is basically made up of oil wells, storage tanks and a
treating facility. Other types are similarly unique because of their makeup.
AVS users wishing to sort centres by a type of operation may do so by first
selecting a province and then a type from the field shown. A list will link to
centres.
-
SERVICE & SUPPLY COMPANIES – can be sorted by business type.
