AVS was developed as an extension of the INDEX providing additional information on all active businesses such as Explorers, Producers, Petrochemical, Pipeline, Refineries, Independents, Partnerships, Trade Names, Trusts, Services and Suppliers, as well historical transactions

Information on over 25,000 companies in western Canada and their 5000 operating centers is available with over 35,000 personnel from all categories of active companies in the database.

Quickly locate the information you need with FIND and SORT functions.

FIND functions

• COMPANY – active companies can be found directly or indirectly. The information on active companies is substantial and covers Basic Information, Personnel, Structure, Operating Centres, Associates, Predecessors and / or Successors, (a tree view to establish a chain of title), Dispositions and Pending Transactions, with links to emails, web sites and more.
• PREVIEW – is a list of new Explorers & Producers (including Pipelines, Refineries & Plants) since the last quarterly Oil & Gas INDEX was last published.
• PENDING – is a list of companies subject to ongoing transactions. The selection of a company from the list will provide details of the transactions as well as other information about the company.
• OP. CENTREincludes area, field and district offices, a complex, gas and processing plants, refineries, batteries, compressor stations and other facilities manned by employees as opposed to contract personnel. A centre may be found by town or name. The system defaults to a town search that lists all centres located there. A name search finds a particular centre that has a link to find other centres in the same town. All centres are linked to their parent companies.
• PERSON – a person can be found from key personnel and directors in the database by entering all or part of the surname. Selecting a person from the search will link to the company.

SORT functions

• OPERATING EXPLORERS and PRODUCERS – may be sorted by employee count and location.
• OP. CENTRE TYPE - as a foreword, each centre, gradually, oversees/manages a diverse number of operation types, ranging from airstrips to warehouses. The types are unique; a “battery” for example is basically made up of oil wells, storage tanks and a treating facility. Other types are similarly unique because of their makeup. AVS users wishing to sort centres by a type of operation may do so by first selecting a province and then a type from the field shown. A list will link to centres.
• SERVICE & SUPPLY COMPANIES – can be sorted by business type.

AVS Qualifications and Cost

AVS is available to qualified users at the competitive rate of $99.95 per month, for a minimum term of 3 months. If a term of 12 months is selected, the rate is discounted by 30% to $69.95 per month, a savings of $360.00 per year. Qualified users are those individuals/persons registered as INDEX standing order customers having purchased 4 or more consecutive issues.

SPECIAL ACCESS

Our business was founded and continues on the principle that standing order customers, whether users or Advertisers, would be given preferred pricing and access to our services, hence Added Value Service (AVS). Notwithstanding, we understand there is a need to provide data access to others. These include governments and industries conducting surveys and those that do not need or use the paper copy. SPECIAL ACCESS caters to these needs providing a single user access for a specific term of at least one month up to a maximum term of one year. The rate is $1000.00 a month plus plus GST. Access and term commence upon receipt of payment.

Registration

Standing Order customers are invited to register for AVS at any time. You will be contacted when the registration is received to finalize details of the order. A tour of the service is available to familiarize yourself with the various functions. The unexpired portion of an AVS term may be transferred to another Standing Order within the same company. There is a small transfer fee.

Log In/Log out

When logging in you will be required to identify and enter the correct name of a company listed in the current issue of the INDEX. The only exception is during the first 10 days after publication when either the current or prior issue may be used. AVS is time sensitive. After one-hour of inactivity the session expires. Simply log back in! Do not exit through the browser because the session remains active but unavailable to you for one-hour from the last activity on the web site. In another word, leave it alone for one full hour. ALWAYS LOGOUT!

Monitoring, Security & Cancellation

Web site activity is monitored to assist us in identifying high traffic areas and for security and design purposes. In addition, the program has a built-in security system to frequently check users and INDEX compliance. B & S Publications Inc. reserves the right to cancel service without notice and without refund or compensation for any AVS user that does not comply with the terms and conditions of use.
